Learn how the Shypple track and trace works.
In Shypple platform, you get accurate track & trace information with the help of two automated ocean track & trace services. To maintain clarity and simplicity, we refer to these sources by specific names:
-
Carrier track & trace
-
Terminal track & trace
These services track your shipment along the route from empty gate out at origin to empty gate in at destination.
How it works
1. Carrier Track & Trace:
-
The carrier track & trace starts tracking from the very beginning. It monitors shipments from their initial stages until they reach their final destinations.
-
When a vessel departs, you'll notice a little dot on the map within our platform. This dot appears as soon as we receive GPS location data from the source.
-
The carrier track & trace also provides shipment status updates through the shipment journey (gate in/gate out, container loading at POL, etc.)
2. Terminal Track & Trace:
-
This service continually checks the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of vessels every hour at the terminal your shipment is heading towards.
-
This terminal tracking also consults port information like Portbase. It offers essential data points such as 'Selected for inspection,' 'Discharged,' or 'Released from inspection.'
-
We ensure you stay informed, with real-time knowledge that containers are discharged just (on average) 18 minutes after the event occurs.
💡 The Shypple track & trace service uses the most accurate source of information for your shipment. When your shipment is at the starting point, we rely on carrier track & trace. As it gets closer to the destination, our terminal track & trace service provides the most up-to-date details, including estimated arrival time and important events like container discharge. If you have any preference which service to use, you can let your freight forwarder know and ask them to use your preferred source.
Stay informed with ease
With this approach, we empower you to effortlessly stay on top of your shipments. Our platform offers a comprehensive and transparent view of your goods' journey, simplifying the process of managing and monitoring your shipments.
Real-time updates
In addition to providing a clear picture of your shipments, our platform ensures you're always up-to-date with any changes in Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). You can enable notifications to receive instant alerts about any ETA adjustments. This feature keeps you well-informed and in control, making it even more convenient to manage your shipments effectively.
