Share your shipment information with non-Shypple users

You can now easily share your shipment details with external stakeholders (non-Shypple users) via email. This way, you can keep all of your shipment partners up to date on the most recent ETAs, distribute the most recent documentation, and avoid any last-minute surprises.

It’s now possible to:

• Share multiple documents in one go: Once you've uploaded a shipment document to the platform, it's easy to send it to someone via email, even if they don't use Shypple.

• Share a link to the Track and Trace of a shipment: Share the shipment tracking URL with your sales staff, customers, etc. to keep everyone informed.

• Send pre-alerts: Send an email from the platform to the parties at the destination with the relevant shipment information, shipment documents, and a link to track the shipment.

How to share shipments via email

1. Go to your preferred shipment.

   

2. Open the Share window on the top right corner.

3. Navigate to the `Share via email` tab.

4. Enter the email address of the recipient(s). Press enter to separate multiple addresses if needed.

   

5. If you would like to add a third person or a Team inbox to the conversation, add them as a Cc. Press enter to separate multiple addresses if needed.

6. Enter the email address where the reply message should go when the email is answered.

7. Adjust the subject line of the email, if needed.

   💡 Tip: Do you want to see what the tracking page looks like? On the 'What is shown on the public tracking page?' link at the bottom, you can view the page that your recipients will see as well.

8. Fill in any other information that should be included in the email.

9. Upload documents, such as a Bill of Lading, packing list, or other important documents. These documents will be send as attachments to the email.

10. Click ‘Share’ to send the email.

What does the ‘shared shipment’ email look like?

The mail includes everything from Port of Loading/discharge to ETA and Vessel name. Below you can view an example of the 'Shipment shared with you' email.
